The Clocks in your Sleep or How Corporations are tightening their Stranglehold on Society

By no means is "The Sleep in the Clocks" a wake-up call, nor is it a rouser, but rather a stone weighing almost two pounds that, when thrown into the water, quickly sinks to dream of being an armed sea mine on brackish ground. - DLF: "Right Wing Proust"

Chaos reigned at CTC headquarters. The chaos that reigns when it is time to rebuild. Commander Jeff Holland looked around in disbelief. Ostap Yefimov, the top boss of ASTROCOHORS CLUB, just nodded his head.

"I don't even know how this is going to continue," Yefimov sighed. "We've actually just been pushing things back and forth for months."

"It wasn't intended that we would be given a helping hand," Holland wanted to know.

"Yes. Of course. But the way things are... we've been trying for years to make all our departments known and to refinance them. Both are being sabotaged on an ongoing basis."

"How come?"

"If only I knew, Commander. We're being refused refinancing with vague references to some contractual terms that we're allegedly not complying with. It's just about individual departments. The refinancing is working for others. Nobody gives us an explanation."

"And what about the 'introduction'?"

"Yes, we're trying. But it's similar here: A few departments - not all - are blocked on Facebook, for example."

"I'm repeating myself, but why is that?"

"No clear answer here either. Maybe because this... what's his name? Zuckerberg... Zuckerberg doesn't like us. There's no longer even a way to complain and appeal. Let's look at the facts Eye: Facebook is dead. They just haven't realized it yet. But here's another problem."

"And which one?"

"The ground on which the ASTROCOHORS CLUB departments stand does not belong to us, but to the CUYEL Group. And the way they are letting the building come down, I would say it won't be long and we have to get out of here."

"What's your plan, Chief?"

"We'll have to transfer a few people to the main department. We'll just have to be very selective, because space is limited. Also, Commander, there's the Jarmo Dorak thing..."

"What about him? I thought he was doing pretty well."

"Quite good, but not good enough. The videos need to be longer or we won't draw attention to that either. And he needs to stop addressing the viewers as 'you bloody anglophonians'. I think we'll transfer him to the HQ in Iceland too ."

"Shall we start right away?"

"No, there is so much else to do. The whole thing has to be worked out very well. Commander Holland, your assignment will be to travel to Eastern Europe and look for new departments that we can open. Especially in these times that is very important."

"Okay, I see what I can do."

"Very well. Expect me to order you back to Iceland sometime over the next few months. That depends on how well we can sort through HQ."

"Aye, sir!"

"I wish you success."

"Thanks sir."
